An Edwardian party in Penlan Park, to celebrate 100 years since the park was given to the town by Lord Dynevor. A procession led by the Burry Port Town Band, with performances from Teilo Singers, Circus La Fond and local schools, and many Edwardian-themed stalls. Free shuttle bus from the car park.

Procession leaves Bradford Square to go along Rhosmaen St to CKs, up New Road and into the Park, led by Burry Port Town Band, LTC and Working Group members, Lord Dynevor , any other dignitaries, performers and anyone dressed in Edwardian/Victorian costume

The Mayor and Llandeilo Town Council are proud to invite you to a free Edwardian party in Llandeilo’s historic Penlan Park on the afternoon of Saturday June 14th.
The Park was given to the town by Lord Dynevor 100 years ago, and is currently owned and maintained by Carmarthenshire County Council. The present Lord Dynevor with the High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire, will open the Centenary Celebration after a parade starting at 1.15 from King Street. This will include the National Eisteddfod Champions, Burry Port Town Band, town dignitaries, performers and anyone dressed in Edwardian/ Victorian costume. There will be a prize of £25 for the best costume.
A Circus skills workshops will be provided in the park for anyone from 5yrs – 22yrs, with a parade by the children at 4.45pm. Performances will be given during the afternoon by Burry Port Band, St Teilo Singers, Llandeilo County Primary School and Ysgol Teilo Sant.
Many of the Town’s organisations are running stalls, including traditional games for the children, historical photographs and refreshments.
A shuttle bus will be provided by Jones International from 1.30 pm from the Llandeilo main central car park.
This promises to be a great fun day for all the family.
In the evening there will be a concert in aid of Tenovus held in Llandeilo Civic Hall (tickets at £6 from Tenovus and local shops).
